I'm curious about the desire for more than one partner. Is the emphasis / desire for attending to "have sex with as many people as possible" or to "meet someone new and enjoy being intimate with them"?
If I wanted to "meet someone new and enjoy being intimate with them", I'd use a dating app, or go to the kind of gathering where one expects to meet someone and then go off somewhere to have sex or meet up for sex later. If I wanted to have sex with one person in front of other people, I'd go to a sex club or something. If I'm going to an orgy, it's with the hope of having sex with multiple people (not necessarily as many people as possible). What else is an orgy for?
I imagine it depends on how the "orgy" is advertised / promoted. I think of an orgy as a "free love gathering". Open minded people, connecting with whomever they feel a spark with. Feeding off each other's energy. Have you tried a dating app? They are terrible and 99.9% useless. If you want to have sex with multiple people just hire a few prostitutes. We all have our different viewpoints, yours are as valid as mine are. First plot, the dudes look like a poisson distribution which I think is what you expect when every sample is random and perfectly isolated but has the same probability. In the limit of large samples it tends toward a normal distribution at the mean. A mean of 4-5 is impressive, well done chaps!
Question: do you think it's proper to count yourself in the survey you made? Did you count yourself? For small samples that could have some effect especially if you were an outlier in one direction or the other. Eg if you were one of the 10-11 ladies it might suppress the bimodal appearance to count yourself out. I'm not saying it is improper to include yourself just curious if it is a significant effect with kind of few samples.
Also, what can you say about the ladies in the outlier high mode? Were they the organizers? The most experienced orgy-goers? If it only takes 3-5 people to organize, if they were all ladies, and they were motivated because they wanted to have lots of dudes close by ready to rail them, then their outlier status in the second hump would get suppressed if the same number of organizers could get 2 or 3 times more participants. Specifically, I'm interested in the question: what sort of persons are most inclined to actually attend (as opposed to merely fantasizing about such event) this kind of event. I remember Paul Coelho once mentioned the fact that he has attended many orgies.
