My Big Fat Wikipedia Hole
Over the last several years I’ve maintained a habit of bookmarking most of the interesting wikipedia articles I read, with my criteria being that I must experience a tingling sense of excitement of discovery when reading it.
Some of the inclusions are “mainstream” summaries of well known things, others are extremely niche events. Some felt quiet and hidden, and reading them made me feel like I’d found a tiny gem that had been long forgotten. Still others appear pretty boring, but gained entry because they hit me with an unexpectedly shocking line or two midway through. Some of them are about common topics I thought I was familiar with, but contained really interesting information about stuff like origin or controversies.
Here’s all of them! I may continue to update this list periodically as I collect more.
